Renewable energy is a critical lever in Mapletree’s Net Zero 2050 Roadmap, supporting the Group’s efforts to reduce emissions, strengthen energy resilience and manage exposure to energy price volatility across its global portfolio.
Mapletree continues to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. As part of its Net Zero 2050 Roadmap, the Group has surpassed its goal of 200 megawatt-peaks (MWp) ahead of its
2030 timeline, achieving 244 MWp of installed solar capacity as at 31 March 2026. Building on this momentum, a new 2030 target of 300 MWp has been set.
Mapletree prioritises a continued expansion of onsite renewable electricity generation, primarily through rooftop solar installations across its assets. In locations where onsite generation is constrained by infrastructure or regulatory limitations, the Group supplements its renewable energy sourcing through offsite solutions, including power purchase agreements and green electricity contracts.
Collaboration with tenants is also central to this transition. Through engagement initiatives such as aggregated procurement opportunities and community-based renewable energy programmes, Mapletree works with tenants to explore practical ways to access renewable electricity and lower emissions associated with leased spaces. This is particularly important in real estate, where tenant energy use forms a significant part of the value chain emissions profile.
