Presented by Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d), the concert will be a reimagination of music from TENG\u2019s acclaimed album <em>Stories from an Island City<\/em>, paying tribute to Singapore\u2019s rich multicultural identity through a bold fusion of tradition and innovation. Tickets to the concert are available for purchase via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/cc\/mapletree-presents-the-teng-ensemble-732879\">Eventbrite<\/a> S$4 to S$5 each, with a discounted rate via the \u201cfamily and friends bundle\u201d and will be held on three nights on 27, 28 and 29 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert will start at 7.30pm and TENG will perform fresh interpretations of beloved local tunes and folk songs such as <em>Fusion<\/em> which is inspired by the Malay folk song <em>Chan Mali Chan<\/em>, and <em>Festival<\/em>, which draws inspiration from <em>Jinkli Nona<\/em>, a popular Eurasian folk song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding to the ensemble\u2019s signature East-West sound, this re-imagined edition of <em>Stories from an Island City<\/em> brings together the talents of the Mapletree-TENG scholars and features an exciting lineup of guest performances from Bhaskar&#8217;s Arts Academy, accordionist Syafiqah &#8216;Adha Sallehin, percussionist Lalit Kumar, percussion group Nadi Singapura, and vocalists from Voices of Singapore. Together with TENG, these guest performers will enrich the concert experience with a multidisciplinary showcase of dance and choral singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur community performance series with TENG at VivoCity and Mapletree Business City has welcomed over 14,000 people since 2018, including many first-time attendees. Mapletree is proud to be supporting this series as part of our corporate social responsibility programme.
