The programme, which is initiated and fully funded by Mapletree will employ up to 30 trainees, aims to support fresh graduates who face difficulty in finding employment in Singapore amid the global pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme is set to commence from December 2020 onwards. Trainees will have the opportunity to gain relevant skills and knowledge in the real estate industry, as well as work experience while attending classroom trainings conducted by faculty members from Singapore Management University (\u201cSMU\u201d) and Senior Leaders from Mapletree. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Hiew Yoon Khong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Mapletree said, \u201cThe idea to develop the M-TRAIN programme came about because we recognised that the current pandemic has made it challenging for the fresh graduates to gain employment, and we see value in nurturing talent. By hiring these fresh graduates, we hope to give them a headstart in the real estate sector and hopefully bring about a synergy that strengthens Mapletree\u2019s workforce and growth paths.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme is open to those students who have graduated from Universities or Polytechnics (Bachelor\/ Master\u2019s or Diploma) in 2019 or 2020. Applicants should have less than one year of working experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the programme, trainees can look forward to gaining practical and hands-on experience through work, and acquiring more knowledge with the study component. The \u2018Work\u2019 component will provide trainees with the opportunity to work on projects with the relevant business functions in Mapletree, including Finance \/ Data Analytics, Human Resource, Information Systems &amp; Technology, Investor Relations, Leasing and Marketing, Property Management and others. Trainees will have the opportunity to be rotated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018Study\u2019 component will allow trainees to attend classes by Mapletree\u2019s senior leaders and curated real estate courses from the SMU Real Estate Track such as Introduction to Real Estate Economics, Law of Real Estate and Real Estate Investments and Finance modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon successful completion of the programme, trainees will receive a Mapletree-SMU Certificate of Completion. Suitable trainees may be offered career opportunities with Mapletree Group. M-TRAIN continues the partnership between Mapletree and SMU established through the Mapletree Real Estate Programme, a first of its kind launched in January 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduates who are eligible and are able to commit on a full-time basis are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date of 30 November 2020.
