SINGAPORE<\/strong> – Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d) is pleased to announce that the fourth edition of Mapletree Community Month 2026 has set a new fundraising record with over S$27,000 raised through community initiatives to support its beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flagship event garnered strong support from the working community at Mapletree properties across Singapore, with over 600 participants from Mapletree employees, tenants located across the Group\u2019s various properties and the public participating in 11 activities this year. The initiatives organised are aligned to Mapletree’s four Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) pillars of the Arts, Education, Environment and Healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said, \u201cMapletree Community Month brings together our employees and the wider working community to make a meaningful difference. Guided by our CSR Framework, this annual community outreach reflects our commitment to empowering individuals and enriching communities. The record amount raised this year also highlights our shared purpose of giving back and creating a positive impact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a token of appreciation, attendees of Mapletree Community Month 2026 received a commemorative film-strip bookmark featuring VivoCity, one of the Group\u2019s flagship properties, alongside selected artworks and artefacts from Mapletree Business City (\u201cMBC\u201d) and St James Power Station (\u201cSJPS\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arts<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Arts pillar, Mapletree organised community-focused activities to foster arts appreciation and enrich the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paint for Good: Community Batik Painting<\/em>, a fundraising activity guided by arts studio Kamal Arts, brought together seven beneficiaries from ART:DIS, 20 seniors from NTUC Health (Telok Blangah) and members of the working community to contribute their brushstrokes to a shared community batik artwork. A total of S$2,000 was raised for ART:DIS, including a matching donation from Mapletree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2026, the Group launched Glass for Good<\/em>, a sustainability initiative supported by RefindSG where members of MBC\u2019s working community were invited to donate cleaned clear, green or amber glass bottles over four months. The donated glass bottles were repurposed into art pieces, with the artwork progressively taking shape across three lobbies at MBC. The bottles were also used in a glass workshop, where participants learnt the importance of recycling and how to transform discarded bottles into functional glassware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 1,253 bottles were collected, of which 1,193 were repurposed into three artworks showcased at the Glass for Good<\/em> art exhibition at Alexandra Retail Centre. Pieces created during the workshop were also featured in the display. The seven-day exhibition drew close to 1,000 visitors and highlighted the transformation of discarded glass bottles into works of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Group’s signature lunchtime arts programme, Mapletree Arts in the City<\/em>, partnered with Ann Siang Sounds to host an open jam session at MBC’s Green Bowl. Open to participants of all ages, backgrounds and musical abilities, the session provided a safe and welcoming space for seasoned performers, first-time jammers and music enthusiasts to come together and connect through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann Siang Sounds\u2019 co-founder Oliver Ow shared, \u201cMusic and the arts belong anywhere and for anytime. Shared spaces in the community gives us the opportunity to join in, be spontaneous and create something new together. We are pleased to be part of Mapletree Community Month 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making its Mapletree Community Month debut, the guided walking tour \u2013 Waves of Change: A Mapletree Maritime and Art Journey<\/em> \u2013 returned for a second edition. Led by The Urbanist Singapore, the tour brought 22 participants on a unique public art trail across MBC, VivoCity and SJPS. Participants explored these urban spaces uncovering connections between maritime heritage and contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Education pillar, four winning teams of the inaugural Mapletree Budding Entrepreneurs Challenge operated rent-free pop-up stalls at VivoCity<\/a>. Following a week of operations, 70% of their net profits were donated to charities Rainbow Centre and Dementia Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eighth edition of Mapletree Futsal Challenge<\/em>, an annual CSR futsal tournament and fundraiser that brings together Mapletree employees, tenants and students, raised S$24,000 through participant contributions and dollar-for-dollar matching by Mapletree. Proceeds will support youth-related programmes by Boys’ Town and Beyond Social Services. The Challenge’s Open Category saw a full line-up of 16 teams, with Team Nike lifting the champion\u2019s trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are pleased to support Mapletree Futsal Challenge<\/em> as it gives us an opportunity to connect through sports for a good cause. We’re honoured to have been part of this year’s event, proud of our team’s achievement and inspired by the positive impact we can create together,” said Mr Wayne Chua, captain of Nike Swoosh Team A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Youth Category also saw enthusiastic participation, with six teams competing, including two each from the Singapore Institute of Technology (\u201cSIT\u201d) and Nanyang Polytechnic, as well as a team each from Temasek Polytechnic and the Singapore University of Social Sciences. SIT Team B emerged as champions, successfully defending SIT’s Youth Category title for the second year running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environment<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Environment pillar, participants took part in activities that promoted sustainability and environmental awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combining both the arts and environmental sustainability, the Mapletree Edible Garden: Kids\u2019 Craft Workshop<\/em> engaged children from PCF Sparkletots Preschool (Telok Blangah), MindChamps PreSchool at MBC and members of the public in a hands-on activity. The workshop taught participants how to transform plastic bottles into planters while fostering environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe workshop raises environmental awareness among children and teaches them that their everyday actions can have a positive impact,\u201d said a parent of one of the workshop participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sharing session \u2013 Feathers and Frames<\/em> \u2013 conducted by Dr Yong Ding Li, Head of Flyways and Species Conservation (Asia), BirdLife International Asia, offered participants a deeper understanding of migratory birds and their journeys across the region. Participants also picked up practical tips and techniques for observing and identifying birds in the wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthcare<\/u> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under Mapletree’s Healthcare pillar, the Group jointly organised a Blood Donation Drive<\/em> with the Singapore Red Cross for the fourth consecutive year. MBC tenant Medtronic rallied 28 staff volunteers to help out at the event. With the support of 18 companies within the MBC working community, including Mapletree, the drive collected 70 bags of blood, potentially saving up to 210 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Jac Lim, Medtronic tenant volunteer, said, \u201cMapletree Community Month\u2019s blood donation drive is conveniently hosted within the workplace, removing a barrier to donating blood. It is also a meaningful initiative to foster compassion and an individual\u2019s social responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Group also introduced a wellness initiative this year. At the Soundbath and Incense-Making Workshop<\/em>, 31 participants crafted bespoke incense blends using natural botanical fragrances such as sandalwood and lavender buds. The session began with a relaxing and restorative sound bath conducted by homegrown wellness brand Terra Nest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mapletree Community Month: Creating Meaningful Impact<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mapletree Community Month continues to be a cornerstone of the Group\u2019s community outreach efforts and underscores its commitment to empowering individuals and enriching communities. As a global real estate development, investment, capital and property management company operating in 13 markets, Mapletree remains steadfast in creating positive impact through sustainable practices and meaningful community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, Mapletree has set aside S$42.3 million to fund its CSR initiatives. Across all four editions of Mapletree Community Month, the Group has engaged over 3,300 participants and beneficiaries and raised close to S$90,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
