On the back of last year\u2019s overwhelming turnout, this year\u2019s concert, SCO Goes To VivoCity will run for two days instead of one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proudly presented by Mapletree, the concert will be held on 26 and 27 May 2023 at 7.30pm. Led by SCO Associate Conductor, Moses Gay, more than 30 musicians will perform a potpourri of classic hits and melodies of yesteryear that are bound to tug at heartstrings of the audience. Some of these nostalgic tunes include familiar favourites, \u201cThe Dagger Society Suite\u201d \u300a\u5c0f\u5200\u4f1a\u7ec4\u66f2-\u5e8f\u66f2\u300band \u201cSummer Night\u201d \u300a\u590f\u4e4b\u591c, as well as familiar TV melodies and Pop music tracks, \u201cMedley of Television Drama Theme Songs\u201d \u300a\u7535\u89c6\u4e3b\u9898\u66f2\u8054\u594f\u300band \u201cMedley of Singapore Chinese Pop\u201d \u300a\u534e\u5f69\u98de\u626c\u300b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Edmund Cheng, Mapletree Chairman, said: \u201cWe are proud to announce our expanded commitment and support to SCO as part of Mapletree\u2019s corporate social responsibility programme. Music not only connects people, but it also enhances their mental well-being. As such, we actively work with partners like SCO to continuously provide the community access to such ensembles and cultivate an appreciation for art and music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, tickets to the one-evening only performance at VivoCity were sold out almost 2 weeks to the show. This year, Mapletree and SCO have added one more show to the community outreach performance series at the mall for more people to enjoy it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Terence Ho, SCO Executive Director, said: \u201cThe Singapore Chinese Orchestra received a resounding applause for last year&#8217;s performance at VivoCity. This year, we look forward to an even more amazing crowd of audience.
