SINGAPORE<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d) is pleased to launch a new initiative \u2013 Mapletree Art with a Purpose \u2013 to bring the arts closer to the communities while benefitting Singaporean artists and charities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative showcases a series of Pop-Up Postcards depicting six iconic art installations and artefacts in Mapletree Business City (\u201cMBC\u201d). Illustrated by three young Singaporean artists \u2013 namely Ang Shi Min (@mu.andcoco), Chen Ziyue Angeline (@ziyuechen) and Huang Lei (@paperlileis) \u2013 the Pop-Up Postcards will be sold during a 32-week campaign from 21 January 2025 to 1 September 2025. Through this campaign, Mapletree aims to raise at least S$25,000, with all proceeds (net of prevailing GST) going towards the artists\u2019 royalties and funding essential programmes for Beyond Social Services and Boys\u2019 Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gracing the launch of Mapletree Art with a Purpose was Guest-of-Honour Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said: \u201cThrough Mapletree Art with a Purpose, we aim to share the joy of art and provide additional support to underprivileged youth. This unique collaboration with our three talented artists reaffirms our commitment to the arts, which stands as one of our four Corporate Social Responsibility pillars. We hope this initiative will promote further collaborations that benefit our communities.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Roland Yeow, Executive Director, Boys\u2019 Town said: \u201cWe extend our sincere gratitude to Mapletree for this meaningful initiative which helps support our beneficiaries and empower them to realise their full potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Chia May Ling, Executive Director, Beyond Social Services: \u201cMapletree’s ongoing support for Beyond Social Services has been immensely beneficial. The proceeds from this initiative will support youths from less privileged backgrounds. We would like to thank all contributors in advance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About 60 distinguished guests, beneficiaries and Mapletree senior management attended the launch of Mapletree Art with a Purpose on 21 January 2025 at MBC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the public can support the artists and beneficiaries by purchasing the Pop-Up Postcards priced at S$5.90 each from vending machines at VivoCity (near W Optics #01-143) and Alexandra Retail Centre (Level 1, Atrium). Mapletree Art with a Purpose underscores the Group\u2019s commitment to implementing impactful Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that benefit communities where it operates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
