This road will be closed from 11.00 am on 15 April 2002 onwards to facilitate the redevelopment of the WTC Retail Mall currently underway, as well as to re-align with the road in front of the upcoming waterfront twin office towers that are being built beside the WTC. The closure of the road is also to facilitate the construction of a new siding tunnel for the future Circle MRT Line by LTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the closure of the internal slip road, traffic access to the WTC Building, the Singapore Cruise Centre, the SPI Building and the Cable Car Towers will have to be diverted. Motorists going to these buildings are advised to follow the directional road signs that will be placed along prominent locations. Passengers bound for cruise and ferry departures at the Singapore Cruise Centre can still park their vehicles at the WTC car park. Please refer to the attached map for the traffic diversion details. This road closure is not expected to affect other motorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The WTC, which is currently undergoing a $30 million redevelopment to revamp its three levels of retail space, will also be the site of the new HarbourFront MRT station. This station will be the final stop of the new North-East MRT Line and will also be linked to the Circle MRT Line.
