<\/strong>SINGAPORE<\/strong> – Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d) is pleased to announce that over 800 audience and fans attended the sold-out community concert by Singapore Chinese Orchestra (\u201cSCO\u201d). Titled SCO Goes to VivoCity<\/em>, the concert was held on Saturday, 28 May 2022 at the flagship mall\u2019s amphitheatre, located at the Sky Park on Level 3. The one-night live performance was led by SCO Resident Conductor Mr Quek Ling Kiong and performed by more than 30 musicians.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attendees, which included Mapletree\u2019s guests from local schools and healthcare institutions, as well as SCO\u2019s guests, sat under the starlight to appreciate a diverse repertoire of nostalgic tunes brought to life during the concert. This included familiar favourites such as \u201cThunder Storm and Drought\u201d \u300a\u65f1\u5929\u96f7\u300b, \u201cThe Past Can Only be Remembered\u201d \u300a\u5f80\u4e8b\u53ea\u80fd\u56de\u5473\u300b and \u201cNocturne to Victoria Harbour\u201d \u300a\u6e2f\u7ef4\u591c\u66f2\u300b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the Group\u2019s first collaboration with SCO for a concert at VivoCity, Mapletree presented a token to Mr Terence Ho, SCO\u2019s Executive Director. Mr Wan Kwong Weng, Group Chief Corporate Officer of Mapletree, said: \u201cWe are honoured to collaborate with SCO to put on a special performance of classic hits and melodies of yesteryear for the public to enjoy at the VivoCity Amphitheatre. As a gesture of appreciation, we also invited healthcare workers from Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital alongside students, teachers and staff from Bedok South Secondary School and other Institutions of Higher Learning. We look forward to presenting more events that will bring the arts closer to the community as part of Mapletree\u2019s corporate social responsibility efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
