Supported by Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d), the music video presents the first-ever chronological medley of all 32 theme songs from Singapore\u2019s National Day Parade from 1984 to 2025, including nostalgic favourites such as \u201cHome\u201d composed by Dick Lee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The medley was co-arranged by Ting Si Hao and acclaimed 15-year-old Singaporean neurodivergent composer Nathanael Koh. Koh previously co-composed \u201cDiversity in Strength\u201d which was performed at the NDP 2024 and has also composed for TENG for \u201cThe Singaporean Composers Series\u201d album. \u201cI really enjoyed working on the arrangement &#8211; I listened closely to the original songs and tried to emulate their style while taking into consideration TENG\u2019s musical style,\u201d said Koh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Filmed across five Mapletree properties including Mapletree Business City, VivoCity, St James Power Station, 1 &amp; 1A Depot Close and 30A Kallang Place, the video also features five art installations that can be found in the Mapletree Public Art Trail. Additionally, the video features Mapletree-TENG scholars performing alongside members of The TENG Ensemble. The intergenerational collaboration is a reflection of the past and present coming together, and TENG\u2019s mission of empowering the next generation of musicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs Singapore marks its 60th year of independence, this project is a celebration of both the nation\u2019s musical heritage and its future. It\u2019s been an honour to work with Nathanael, a remarkable composer whose arrangement reimagines our National Day songs with fresh emotional depth. Featuring our Mapletree-TENG Scholars &#8211; young musicians from under-resourced families &#8211; this music video reminds us that creativity knows no boundaries, and that every Singaporean deserves a place in shaping our cultural story,\u201d said Dr Samuel Wong, Creative Director of The TENG Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman of Mapletree, added: \u201cMapletree is honoured to celebrate Singapore\u2019s SG60 milestone through the universal language of music and the arts. Through our meaningful collaborations with TENG, we continue to support and inspire artistic excellence, ensuring that our vibrant arts scene remains a cornerstone of our nation&#8217;s identity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TENG\u2019s \u201cThe Singapore National Day Parade Theme Song Medley (1984\u20132025)\u201d will also be performed live by The TENG Ensemble at the upcoming concert, Stories from an Island City \u2013 Celebrating 60 Years of Singapore, taking place at the VivoCity Amphitheatre from 27 to 29 June 2025.
