SINGAPORE<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0Mapletree Investments (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d) officially launched the second phase of Mapletree Art with a Purpose (\u201cMAWP\u201d) on 31 March 2026. The second phase (\u201cPhase 2\u201d) presents three new items \u2013 a Set of Four Bird-Themed Postcards<\/em>, an Enamel Pin of St James Power Station <\/em>and a Postcard of Tr\u1ea7n Xu\u00e2n So\u1ea1n Street in Hanoi, Vietnam<\/em>. All products are available for purchase from now until 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAWP was first launched in January 2025<\/a> (\u201cPhase 1\u201d) by Mr Edwin Tong, then Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law. The initiative underscores the Group\u2019s commitment to delivering impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (\u201cCSR\u201d) efforts by bringing the arts closer to communities while doing good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on Phase 1\u2019s positive response, Phase 2, aligned with Mapletree\u2019s CSR pillars of the Arts, Education and Environment, comprises three products created by a diverse set of artists from Singapore and Vietnam. It aims to raise a combined amount of S$35,000, from Phases 1 and 2, with all proceeds (net prevailing GST) going towards charities and artists\u2019 royalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said, \u201cMapletree Art with a Purpose aims to meaningfully uplift and enrich communities. Phase 2 not only continues our support for local beneficiaries but strengthens our commitment to empowering individuals by nurturing an inclusive arts community in Singapore. This phase also extends our impact to Vietnam, allowing us to give back to more communities we operate in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Set of Four Bird-Themed Postcards <\/em>(S$14.90), photographed and donated by Mr Tarun Kataria, Independent Chairman of Mapletree US & EU Logistics\u00a0Private Trust (“MUSEL”) Investment Committee, features four birds \u2013 Malachite Kingfisher, Black-naped Oriole, Yellow-vented Bulbul and Crimson Sunbird. All proceeds from the sale of the postcards will be donated to Nature Society Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second artwork in the series is an Enamel Pin of St James Power Station <\/em>(S$4.90) illustrated by Zulkhairi Lutfi, a 20-year-old Singaporean artist with autism. Commissioned by Mapletree, Zulkhairi incorporates imagery from photography of buildings to celebrate the beauty and significance of everyday things. 90% of proceeds will be donated to ART:DIS, a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities in the arts. The remaining 10% of proceeds will go towards artist\u2019s royalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third artwork is a Postcard of Tr\u1ea7n Xu\u00e2n So\u1ea1n Street in Hanoi, Vietnam <\/em>(S$4.20) illustrated by Tr\u1ea7n Nam Long, a 20-year-old hearing impaired artist from Vietnam. He began drawing at the age of three, and art has become a way to communicate his emotions. 90% of proceeds will be donated to Passerelles Num\u00e9riquesVietnam, a non-governmental organisation providing IT training programmes to underserved youths aged 18 to 23 in Central Vietnam. The remaining 10% of proceeds will go towards artist\u2019s royalties.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zulkhairi\u00a0Lutfi, artist of the Enamel Pin of St James Power Station<\/em>, shared, \u201cI am grateful to showcase my artwork through Mapletree Art with a Purpose. I hope that anyone who sees or wears the pin will be reminded to note the small details in life and find beauty in them too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixteen distinguished guests including artists, beneficiaries and members of the Mapletree CSR Board Committee attended the launch of Mapletree Art with a Purpose\u2019s Phase 2 on 31 March 2026 at St James Power Station (\u201cSJPS\u201d). Guests also participated in a guided heritage tour of SJPS led by Yong, founder of The Urbanist Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the public can support the artists and beneficiaries of Phases 1 and 2 by purchasing the products at the MAWP vending machine at VivoCity (Level 2, near 7-Eleven, #02-216c) or at Mapletree CSR events from now until 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 1 featured three Singaporean artists and their adaptations of six art installations and artefacts in Mapletree Business City as Pop-Up Postcards. (For more information, please refer to Annex A<\/strong><\/em>.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
