{"id":3475,"date":"2017-01-12T05:04:00","date_gmt":"2017-01-12T05:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"urn:uuid:af29cae5-b6ea-4715-911c-eddb55bbe40e"},"modified":"2025-01-31T06:27:38","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T06:27:38","slug":"mapletree-successfully-priced-the-first-singapore-dollar-hybrid-issue-of-2017","status":"publish","type":"newsroom","link":"https:\/\/www.mapletree.com.sg\/vn\/newsroom\/mapletree-successfully-priced-the-first-singapore-dollar-hybrid-issue-of-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Mapletree Successfully Priced the First Singapore Dollar Hybrid Issue of 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Singapore<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd (\u201cMapletree\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d), a leading real estate development, investment and capital management company, wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mapletree Treasury Services Limited (the \u201cIssuer\u201d), has launched and priced S$625 million principal amount of 4.50% perpetual securities (the \u201cSecurities\u201d), to be issued pursuant to its US$5 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme (\u201cEMTN Programme\u201d). The Securities will be unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by Mapletree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first public Singapore dollar debt capital market transaction and also the first public Asian hybrid issuance of 2017. The offering of the Securities was very well received by investors. Mapletree has received orders worth over S$800 million with participation from about 60 high quality investors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Securities, which will be issued in denominations of S$250,000, will be perpetual, first callable at the Issuer\u2019s option on 19 January 2022, and will confer the right to receive distribution payments at a rate of 4.50% per annum, with a distribution rate reset on 19 January 2027 and every 10 years thereafter. The distribution rate will be subject to a one-time step-up of 1% per annum on 19 January 2027. The distribution will be payable semi-annually in arrear on a discretionary basis and will be cumulative in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Securities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proceeds from the issue of the Securities will be used by the Group for general corporate purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Wong Mun Hoong, Group Chief Financial Officer of Mapletree, said, \u201cWe are very pleased with the recognition of our credit and strong support from investors. While Asia remains a core market for Mapletree, the Group has since 2014 expanded successfully beyond Asia into the developed markets of Australia, Europe and the United States. The successful offering is a testament of Mapletree\u2019s strong brand name, excellent financial track record and proven strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DBS Bank Ltd. and HSBC are joint lead managers for the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Application will be made to the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the \u201cSGX-ST\u201d) for permission to deal in, and for a quotation of, the Securities.
