This is the third consecutive collaboration with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (\u201cSCO\u201d), the Republic\u2019s only full-time professional Chinese orchestra.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the baton of SCO Associate Conductor, Moses Gay, more than 40 musicians will come together as one to perform compositions embodying youthful passion, including&nbsp;&nbsp;<em><strong>Aspirations&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>\u300a\u5c55\u671b\u300band&nbsp;<em><strong>For Our Dreams<\/strong><\/em>\u300a\u9010\u68a6\u300bby Composer-in-Residence Wang Chenwei,&nbsp;<strong><em>Expressions at Qinchuan&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u300a\u79e6\u5ddd\u6292\u6000\u300b, and&nbsp;<strong><em>Overture<\/em><\/strong>\u300a\u9752\u5e74\u5e8f\u66f2\u300bby 2017 Cultural Medallion recipient Law Wai Lun. SCO will also captivate audiences with highly popular Chinese pop tunes from the medley&nbsp;<strong><em>King of Romantic Hits<\/em><\/strong>\u300a \u60c5\u6b4c\u738b\u300b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Edmund Cheng, Mapletree Chairman, said: \u201cMapletree believes in enriching lives and fostering community spirit through the arts. This performance marks our third collaboration with SCO, underscoring our ongoing commitment to promoting the arts and giving back to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Terence Ho, SCO Executive Director, shared: \u201cThis is the third year we return to VivoCity, and we are very honoured to bring Chinese orchestral music to the enthusiastic crowd once again! We look forward to closer collaborations with Mapletree in more years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first edition in 2022 saw the attendance of over 800 audience members, and in 2023, the concert was expanded to two shows where over 1,400 people were able to enjoy the performance.
