Mapletree’s Mid-Autumn Festival Fosters Stronger Community Ties in Third Year with Festive Activities and Heartwarming Reunions at Mapletree Business City  


An Evening with Mapletree, Mapletree draws over 600 attendees from the Alexandra Precinct community

SINGAPORE – Mapletree Investments’ (“Mapletree” or “the Group”) celebrated its third annual Mid-Autumn Festival at Mapletree Business City (MBC) on 1 October 2025, with a vibrant evening of cultural performances, fun-filled activities and meaningful community engagement.

The event welcomed over 600 attendees, a 20% increase from its previous edition. Attendees included family members of Mapletree tenants and employees, and residents from the Alexandra Precinct, reinforcing the festival’s theme of reunion.  This year, Mapletree expanded its community outreach to invite over 100 seniors from NTUC Health Active Ageing Centres at Telok Blangah and Mount Faber, more than double from the previous year. Some returned after a memorable experience last year and even encouraged fellow centre seniors to join, livening up the evening of festive activities and performances. 

Held as part of an ongoing An Evening with Mapletree series which aims to foster community spirit and cultural appreciation, the celebration was graced by Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree; Mr Hiew Yoon Khong, Group Chief Executive Officer, Mapletree; Mr Andrew Chong, Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd; Mr Wan Kwong Weng, Group Chief Corporate Officer, Mapletree, as well as key tenant representatives of Mapletree Business City including Ms Grace Tan, Chief Financial Officer, Nippon Paint; and Ms Danica Broadhurst, Real Estate Portfolio Director, APAC, Google.

Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said: “Mid-Autumn is a time for reunion and togetherness – a celebration of friendships and family bonds under the full moon. This celebration is part of our An Evening with Mapletree series, reflecting our commitment to embracing cultural traditions and nurturing vibrant communities beyond the working community.” 

Throughout the evening, guests indulged in decadent mooncakes and light refreshments while being treated to a series of captivating performances. Highlights included a whimsical Bubble Show, a cultural dance by Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre and melodious Chinese pieces such as Spring Blossoms on the Moonlit River《春江花月夜》and Grassland Sentiment 《草原抒怀》, performed by the young talented Mapletree-TENG scholars.

Guests also enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including a water marbling coaster workshop, an interactive quest challenge with sure-win prizes, drone-flying and a trackless train ride, among others. Adding to the festive atmosphere were a crafters’ market with booths set up by local businesses and Mapletree-SCCCI River Hongbao Hackathon (RHBHacks) 2025 winning teams—Impact Colliders, Memory Mates, RTE Technologies and SUSFeed. The evening concluded on a high note with a grand lucky draw, adding a final burst of excitement to the festivities.

Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre graced the stage with《同乐》—a poetic celebration of joy and togetherness under the Mid-Autumn moon.
