Above: KA Foodlink, also referred to as Kampong Ampat cluster, is a designated food-production facility by AVA.

Two popular local food enterprises, The Soup Spoon Pte Ltd and Awfully Chocolate Central Kitchen Pte Ltd, recently signed on new leases to locate their central kitchen at MIT’s property at Kampong Ampat. We are delighted to welcome the two well-loved food enterprises and support them in their expanding businesses.

The Soup Spoon, a popular casual soup concept restaurant chain, opened its first outlet in June 2002. Within ten years, The Soup Spoon has expanded to 16 outlets island-wide across Singapore.

Awfully Chocolate started business as a small chocolate boutique bakery tucked away in Katong in 1998. Today, Awfully Chocolate has over 17 franchises across major Asian cities including Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dalian.

Both The Soup Spoon and Awfully Chocolate have retail outlets in VivoCity, Singapore’s largest shopping and lifestyle destination by Mapletree Commercial Trust.

Kampong Ampat cluster, also referred to as KA Foodlink, is an ideal location for food businesses to set up their backend operations. Designated by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore as a dedicated food facility, the six-storey building is suitable for companies in the dry to semi-wet food industries such as packaging, catering and food manufacturing. The property has two levels of sheltered loading/unloading bays and a basement carpark.
