Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, has appointed Mr Hiew Yoon Khong as CEO of Mapletree with effect from 1 August 2003. Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, who assumed the additional position of interim CEO at Mapletree from 4 June 2003, will relinquish this role from 1 August 2003. She will continue to develop and strengthen strategic relations for Temasek Holdings.
Mr Hiew, who is a board member of both Mapletree and its subsidiary, The HarbourFront Pte Ltd, was previously the CEO of CapitaLand Commercial Pte Ltd and CapitaLand Financial Pte Ltd, both wholly-owned subsidiaries of CapitaLand Ltd. Whilst there, he successfully oversaw CapitaLand’s commercial properties and real estate-linked financial products. Mr Hiew is currently Temasek’s Managing Director overseeing private equity fund investments and will continue in this role in addition to his duties at Mapletree.
