Mapletree’s fourth Mid-Autumn Festival at Mapletree Business City celebrates the spirit of reunion, gratitude and community

SINGAPORE – For the fourth consecutive year, Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd (“Mapletree” or “the Group”) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival at Mapletree Business City (“MBC”) with an evening of festive cheer, cultural performances and community bonding on 9 September 2026.

Since its first iteration in 2023 under An Evening with Mapletree – a series designed to foster deeper community connections and cultural appreciation – the event has grown into a much-anticipated annual celebration attended by over 600 participants this year. Beyond gathering Mapletree tenants and employees, this year’s event welcomed residents from the Alexandra Precinct, seniors from NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre – Mount Faber and youth from Beyond Social Services, Mapletree’s long-time corporate social responsibility partner.

The event was graced by Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree; Mr Hiew Yoon Khong, Group Chief Executive Officer, Mapletree; Mr Wan Kwong Weng, Group Chief Corporate Officer, Mapletree, Ms Ler Lily, Chief Executive Officer, Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd as well as key tenant representatives including Mr Atul Babu, Chief Executive Officer, iCompaz; Mr Brendan Khor, Managing Director, Conexus Studio and Mr Steven Chua, Enterprise Architecture Advisory, Premium Engagement, SAP Asia.

Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said: “Mapletree is pleased to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival for the fourth year at Mapletree Business City with our tenants, employees and members from the community. Rooted in the festival’s spirit of reunion, harmony and gratitude, the event underscores our commitment to preserving cultural traditions and nurturing vibrant communities beyond the workplace.”

In the lead-up to the event, Mapletree organised three contests – Complete the Drawing, Calligraphy Writing and Rabbit Collage – inviting participants to express their creativity and celebrate the festival’s theme through art. The contests attracted more than 180 entries from Mapletree employees, tenants, seniors, youth and children from the community. Selected entries were featured in a three-day community art display, adding vibrancy to the event space. A total of 32 winners received prizes worth S$1,540 in VivoCity vouchers.

Throughout the evening, guests savoured delish festive treats and mooncakes over live entertainment, from heartwarming dance performances from the children from MindChamps Preschool at MBC and a captivating ventriloquist act by local performer Joseph Then, to a multi-sensory LED water drums performance and soulful Shanghai jazz tunes such as Shanghai Nights《夜上海》and Without You《如果没有你》by Singapore-based jazz pianist, vocalist and composer Ywenna Quinn.

In addition, participants immersed themselves in a range of exciting activities, including jellyfish lantern-making and robotics lantern workshops, an interactive quest challenge featuring sure-win prizes, a guided lantern walk around MBC art installations, a crafters’ market featuring creations from local businesses such as merchandise store Heng Suay Eating House and children’s clothing brand PlayYard. The evening culminated in a grand lucky draw, where 10 winners walked away with a total of S$625 worth of VivoCity and Kopitiam vouchers.
