SINGAPORE – Mapletree Investments (“Mapletree” or “the Group”) is pleased to announce the successful run of its eighth Mapletree Youth Futsal Camp. Held over four sessions in mid-June 2026, 118 children and youths, aged seven to 16 years old honed their futsal skills and stayed active during the school holidays at Mapletree Business City (“MBC”).
Organised under Mapletree’s Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) Education pillar, children of the Group’s tenants and staff as well as youth from Mapletree’s partner social service agencies including Beyond Social Services, Boys’ Town, CATCH Plus at Jalan Kukoh and Ministry of Social and Family Development’s ComLink+ (Bukit Merah) picked up futsal skills and forged new friendships while gaining a deeper appreciation of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman, Mapletree, said, “The Mapletree Youth Futsal Camp continues to be a meaningful shared experience where children and youths develop skills and values that extend beyond the pitch. Such outreach opportunities help break down social barriers, fostering connection and promoting growth within the community. In line with our CSR Framework, Mapletree remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower our children and youths.”
“I enjoy playing futsal with my friends during my free time at school, so I always look forward to picking up new skills at this camp during the June holidays. The camp was fun and engaging and I enjoyed learning from the coaches. Everyone is so talented, and I had a great time playing with new friends!” said Adam Haqque, 13 years old, child of tenant, who participated in the camp in 2023, 2024 and 2026.
Bay Chengrui, 10 years old, a first-time participant, said, “I learnt new futsal skills through the fun drills, especially new ways to dribble and pass the ball. With the coach’s guidance, I felt more confident playing the friendly matches. I also made many new friends through the camp! It was a memorable experience.”
In August 2026, the Group will organise the fundraiser equivalent of the camp – the Mapletree Futsal Challenge – during Mapletree Community Month. This will be open to Mapletree Group’s tenants and employees when they donate a minimum of S$500 per team. The Group will match the donations dollar-for-dollar with all proceeds supporting Mapletree’s youth beneficiaries. As a continuation of the Group’s efforts through the Mapletree Youth Futsal Camp, the Challenge reflects Mapletree’s sustained commitment to strengthening community ties and creating positive social impact.
More information on the Mapletree Futsal Challenge 2026 will be released closer to date.
